A fully remote company could, in theory, exist anywhere. In practice no company grows on its own: it needs a network, a context and an ecosystem that ties it to the territory where it means to create value. That is what led us to choose CI3 — Centro de Incubação e Inovação Industrial de Arouca as the home of Anjos & Brum as an incubated company.
Promoted by the Municipality of Arouca, CI3 supports entrepreneurship with a technological, scientific and creative base, with the purpose of developing the region's business ecosystem through new companies and innovative projects that stimulate the local economy and foster qualified employment. For incubated companies that means concrete conditions: incentives for entrepreneurs, physical or virtual hosting, coworking space, meeting rooms and an auditorium for more than 50 people — and, as important as the infrastructure, a network of strategic partners including AECA, ANJE and UPTEC, connecting incubated projects to the business community and to university research.
Being at CI3 is, for us, more than an address: it is a link to a community of founders and to a municipality that genuinely backs the people who build — a commitment we repay by putting our legal and technical work at the service of the same ecosystem that hosts us.

Cybersecurity incubator
Cybersecurity has a peculiar problem: technical skill is abundant, and the ability to turn it into a business is scarce. People who master the subject are rarely trained to explain it to an investor, or to a client who does not speak the same language — and it is in that gap, between the solution and the market, that many promising projects die.
